Philip Glass String Quartets Nos. 6 & 7 available to pre-order
Brooklyn Rider's second volume of string quartets by Philip Glass (Orange Mountain Music) is available to pre-order. The album, out on December 8, features String Quartets Nos 6, 7, and a new arrangement of the Saxophone Quartet.
NPR Music praised the ensemble's 2011 recording of Glass quartets, commending their "exemplary intellectual consideration, richly varied tone and gorgeous use of color and texture."
